CodeDay 2017

This past weekend, 12 CECFC students participated in a nationwide, 24-hour coding marathon called CodeDay.
Our students comprised 4 teams in this year’s competition. The first team built a text-based, ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ style game, called Halls of Horrors – winning an award for having the Most Polished Code. Our second team built a game called SourceWave, winning the Best Game Award, and taking second place overall. The third team was Team Introvert, a one person team. Team Introvert's project was a math tutor program and won the "Impact" award for having the project that could make the most immediate impact to solve a current problem. The final CECFC team built an animal dating app called Just Fur Fun – this all girls team won the 0 to 60 award for being the team that came in with the least amount of experience, but accomplished the most!
Thank you to all of the students who participated and represented CECFC so well.
