Dawn A. Wriedt

Hello, my name is Dawn A. Wriedt,  LPC, NCC, CACII and Board Certified.  I am a native New Yorker who completed my Masters Degree in Applied Psychology with a specialty in behavioral technology from Adelphi University. I graduated a member of PSI CHI National Honor Society. In New York, I worked for approximately 10 years as a Behavioral Consultant. It is here that I served on and eventually became a Crisis Intervention and Prevention team leader and trainer.
After moving to Colorado over 20 years ago, I taught at a local community college for 15 years and was often nominated for the Master Teacher Award. Later on,  I was asked to serve on the selection committee for the Master Teacher Award. During this period of time, I also opened a private practice. Eight years prior to coming to CECFC as an adjunct professor, I worked at a local behavioral health facility as an in-patient group therapist and an out-patient individual therapist. I have experience working with a wide range of disorders and/or disabilities in the adult and adolescent populations.
I love working with adolescents and young adults and am very excited to be back teaching where I can disseminate my knowledge and experiences to the next generation. My hope is to encourage and support students in furthering their education in pursuit of their own careers and happiness.
