Karisa Rossman received her degree in Secondary English Education with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Northern Colorado. She started her career working with EL and literacy students at a Colorado charter school. In 2014, she began teaching college prep English classes and filling the role of CECFC’s English Language Learner Coordinator. Ms. Rossman has been particularly impressed with her fellow staff and administration at CECFC as well as the devotion and outstanding character of her students. She appreciates the environment CECFC has created where the access to academic tools and the individualized approach to education allow students from various backgrounds to be truly successful. Ms. Rossman is grateful to have the opportunity each day to facilitate learning for motivated students to reach their fullest potentials. Her classroom is an environment where students are expected to focus on their individual strengths and weaknesses and grow at the rate most appropriate for them. Learning through exploration and application is crucial. Ms. Rossman focuses on encouraging her students to find ways to personally connect to content and constantly reflect on their learning process. She always appreciates feedback and open communication between parents, students, and staff.
